d20MUD: Star Wars Dedication

d20MUD is dedicated to the memory of Anna Caitlin Pamintuan.

Anna worked with me (Gicker) on a MUD in 2004 which ended up being the precursor to what has eventually become d20MUD.

She was a fine friend, had a great sense of humor and was a dedicated ally in the creation of our game.

On October 4, 2004 she passed away while under anesthesia without warning while undergoing routine surgery.  Though she is gone she will never be forgotten.  Her memory and her spirit lives on in this world, and touches those who knew her often.

Below is an excerpt and photo donated by her father, Reno Pamintuan, a good man and a friend of mine now as well.

Finished Elementary School in Long Boat Key, Florida

Finished High School in Munster, Indiana

During high school she played Varsity Tennis for 4 years. She received an outstanding athlete award in her freshman year for an undefeated season. She was also a regular player in the USTA sanctioned tournaments and at one time ranked # 1 at Northern Indiana Tennis Association 14's division.

Enrolled at the Valparaiso University as a pre-med student and on tennis scholarship playing in the NCAA Division 1.  Anna could not make up her mind on what carreer to pursue and since we moved to Sedona, Arizona decided to enroll in the College of Engineering at Northern Arizona University, while also on the tennis team.. She inherited my trait of getting bored easily with things and then went to Graphic Designs. Anna developed an illness and diagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia that produced excruciating headaches on one side of the face requiring some medications. Her last episode was about a year ago. She started thinking of going back to college and probably go to New York College where her sister Lisa, is the college president, until this devastating incident happened.

Her ashes will be buried in Belfast, Northern Ireland maybe in the 2nd week of December where her grandfather was buried. Her grandfather helped raised Anna when she was growing up in Florida. Anna is half Irish (her mother is Eilis Doran ) and half Filipino ( her father is Reno Pamintuan,M.D ) retired in Sedona, Arizona.. Her sister Lisa Pamintuan is a lawyer and President of New York College of Health Professions, and her older brother Sean Pamintuan is also a lawyer residing in Denver, Colorado.

She liked playing games in the internet and often chat with friends in the internet and often hear laughing while in front of the computer.
